What The Future Holds

How many times I have thought “What will happen in the future? How will I live ?  What sort of a life  I will have? Are you the same as me wondering about it?

I usually  think too much about the future and what awaits me. I am often scared and frightened  that sometimes I want the time to freeze because I don’t know what to do next .I’m totally sure things iv’e done and things I have to do will  affect my future. But wait?! Iv’e come to realized that somehow I answered my own questions.

I am responsible for creating the kind of future I wish to have. Basically I can [and will] be a success because of the actions, effort, and decisions that i and will make. So I  think deeply about what I want, and plan the next step(s)i should take wisely and diligently like an architect does.

That I need to stand firm and build up myself , not just today, but everyday! I try to take the experiences I’ve learned in the past to guide me each day. I realize that things I don’t like about the past need to stay in the past and that the future really does remain a mystery.

I consider the past is done, over. The future is not here yet, it is waiting for what I decide to do in the present. All I have is today, this moment, and then it is gone. Often I seek answers in things that could be, the things that have happened and in things that I have yet to do. But I realized that  the answers come from what I do in this moment. What I choose to do is who I am.  Life is what we make it!

Well ,I may not know our future, but I know I am the one  who holds the power in shaping them.

As God says in the bible: ” For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,”plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future..

The Art of Cramming

Ask anyone and they will probably tell you that cramming is never the best way to study.

I believe they are right for many reasons. First of all, cramming totally drains the brain. Memorizing dates, names, facts and formulas is a kind of mental torture nobody would want to do very often. Second, knowledge gained through this method is very short-lived. Information will probably be stored in your head for only a few hours or less. So don’t expect anything to be stored infinitely in your long-term memory. Lastly, like some kind of addictive drug, once you get hooked on cramming, there’s no turning back. You will get used to it. You will try to cram your way through every test/exam/quiz life throws at you. And believe me, regular cramming does more bad than good.

The best solution for cramming is to have a time management. As a student you should be responsible and disciplined with your responsibilities and duties.

Balancing A Busy College Schedule

The college years undoubtedly include some of the most time-pressed days in our lives. Between assignments, reading, exams, research papers, course projects, extra curriculars and perhaps even entering a part-time a job, a college student  probably always on the go. Hectic schedules faces many college students and at times feel an acute sense of never having enough time.

Like me,college days have passed and still ongoing , it’s been  like a disaster because of never-ending exhaustible activities.When under deadlines I  probably sacrifice any potential time of myself and never have any down time. However, necessities like, committing and devoting my time with my studies, it’s also valuable to set aside some quality time. It’s not easy to do this, but finding ways to spend a little time on myself will really make a difference in the pressures I may be feeling, and to accomplish this good time management skills are essential. It can be through  the art of prioritizing, planning and performing, that  I am going to be productive and will have plenty of time for all my  important activities.

I believe that  the first thing to do is always to prioritize the things that needs to be completed. It is easy to think something is significant when in reality there are plenty of other more important things a person could be doing. Everything we do comes down to three groups: the gotta-do’s, should-do’s and also your want-to-do’s.

There are lots of ways for us  to plan efficiently. It’s not important how well we plan, what matters is that we simply do it and showing that we’re organized. Keeping a detailed schedule of  activities allows a person to be more productive since there’s  realization of  what is approaching. I tell you,  that someone who doesn’t plan their week can easily find themselves in a predicament when they get stuck with an unanticipated midterm paper.

Prioritizing and planning are nothing unless one can complete plans. There’s no reason for setting goals and planning when one end up doing unproductive tasks like play video games or surf the internet. It is very important that students ,like us, must  follow through with our own plans and do  best to achieve some  goals. When one  knows what to look for, one  will definitely be calm and efficient. Even though one will make plans things will still go wrong or pop up unexpectedly, simple  he/she must try his/her best to keep on course and map out all of activities.

Well, my fellow- students, college is hard. College can certainly be a pretty hectic time for us students. But if you can effectively develop strategies to budget your time, it doesn’t only keeps your goals on target, but will be the tool which affords you the luxury of catching a little bit of free time to use for enjoyment and relaxation.

Yellow Ribbon

Dig into the meaning and negative/positive symbolism of yellow as well as the colors that work well with shades of yellow.

There various shades of the color yellow: banana, cadmium yellow, chiffon, cream, golden, goldenrod, khaki, lemon, mellow yellow, saffron, topaz, yellow ocher.

Hope and Happiness, the Nature and Culture of Yellow:

Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

Yellow is one of the warm colors. Because of the high visibility of bright yellow, it is often used for hazard signs and some emergency vehicles. Yellow is cheerful.

For years yellow ribbons were worn as a sign of hope as women waited from their men to come marching home from war. Today, they are still used to welcome home loved ones. Its use for hazard signs creates an association between yellow and danger, although not quite as dangerous as red.

If someone is yellow it means they are a coward so yellow can have a negative meaning in some cultures.

Trusting God When Circumstances Rocks

Do you agree that everyone regardless of age, gender, position, nationality, economic status, race or religion or whatever differences a person has experiences some form of adversities or troubles? Well for me there’s no doubt about it, ’cause it is as much a part of life as every other circumstance we will ever experience. It doesn’t pick on certain people and shower others with only blessings.

I believe that  no one is exempted from life’s trials and tribulation. No matter everybody don’t like the sting of discouragement or despair, it is inevitable experience in our lives. Even though I didn’t even reach the highest peak of some problems ( hope and pray that I couldn’t face one),but  I can tell you that there is always learning in each of life’s situations if you will only stop seeing yourself as a victim and find the lessons and learn from them.

Even  I as a student , I  also experienced problems either major or minor situations . Wither in family, school, friends, and what environment I am in.  Sometimes I feel drowning in troubles and think of giving up.I often ask myself as to why these things happened in my life? In what part of my life I did something wrong? And even reach to a question, what’s worth living in these world ,if there are never ending adversities that faces me and my loved ones? Yet despite all of that, I believe that everything has its reasons that someday we’ll soon realized it’s for the better. God will not give us problems that we can’t bear. Instead of thinking about disasters of yesterday that happened in my life, I always seek God’s help. when things get wrong, i then pray. I trust God with all my heart and turn everything to Him, so that he can guide me and direct my path. That I must not be dismayed, ’cause God will strengthen me and uphold me in His victorious right hand. I have faith in God, because He is the only one who sees the big picture that can help take me to the next picture and next step in life. No matter how difficult circumstances are, He will able to provide me comfort.Inspirational quote then comes into my mind “ difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage” and yes! it is really true as I come to a point of overcoming it.  I realized that life is really worth living. Out of vulnerabilities will come our strength. If failure comes my way,I know that with God’s guidance and my family and friends’ support, its not the time of giving up but even try it one more time. And now, I’m not afraid of the storms for i’m learning to sail my ship.

You know?In life, we experienced falling apart, but always keep these words in mind, ” Don’t let life discouraged you, everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was.”
And the most important point I want to share to you is that, don’t forget to trust God when circumstances rocks. He will always provide us with grace and mercy, be near and call unto Him, I truly believed that He is the most highest one who will never live us even when people that surround us had already turned away.

“Seek faith is all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”

Everything will be fine, just believe!

Have you ever come to a point of asking yourself when and how will you overcome   difficulties, and problems in life? Or are  you bewildered on either going forward or giving up?  Or even felt what you’ve done is just futile and making things even worst?

I’m not sure of how you’ll react to my questions, but if you were to ask me, well, it’s yes! Sometimes I can’t stop thinking of what will I face tomorrow , and anxious enough to know the results in responding with regards to my problems. There are times that the words “give up” and “can’t handle” come rushing to my mind, because of heavy family problems, personal and what surrounds me of course. I want to shun from those and be happy. Yet I’ve realized , with the aid of my mom’s words of wisdom and overheard the  homily of our priest during Sunday mass,I’m relieved.  My mom told me, ” challenges are what make our lives interesting and overcoming them what makes our life meaning full, sheen you need to always bear that in mind. Believe me,no matter what it may take God is there for us to embrace us and  won’t let problems take us. He knew that soon enough we are the one who’ll conquer our fears and problems and face victory, yet don’t forget to call unto Him.” So as with what Iv’e heard over the priest ” God wont give us challenges in life that we can’t bear. Let every troubles that come your way be an opportunity for joy, for when your faith is tested, endurance has a chance to grow, and will fully developed. and believe it! that you will be strong in character and ready for anything.”  Until these time, I always have that in my mind and in my heart . I’m truly positive enough that everything will be fine under God’s never ending  guidance, protection, boundless mercy, and endless love.

So, guys? always remember that in life challenges are necessary in order for us to grow as individuals. They are necessary to improve our lives, polish what we are up to and  help us to become a successful individual in whatever endeavor we are involved in. And, above all, challenges help us to discover who we really are and what we can do in difficult situations.

Being Responsible

We live in a world full of dreams, dreams that were longing to become reality. and in order for our dreams to come true, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication,self-discipline,effort and of course, being a responsible person.

Taking responsibilities doesn’t only have to focus in one aspect, but in many categories of course!
Well, in my part responsibilities in life covers so many.  It can be responsible as a daughter, a student, and being a Filipino citizen.

As a daughter of my wonderful parents, well I’m responsible enough to respect their authority and position, follow their instructions for they know what’s best for me, provide them in sickness and old age, don’t take advantage of them and most of all don’t speak evil of them because of all the good things they’ve done to me they are worth to be appreciated and cherished.

As a student, I  will select those activities and services which may help my college experiences become personally rewarding, aware and observe of college rules and regulations, sensitive enough to succor my classmates when they need a hand , and participate in all college required activities to name a few.

And lastly as a Filipino citizen, I and will respect, honor, and give due accord to Filipino heritage, patrimony, values and tradition. also, contribute, develop welfare and nation building of our very own country, so as obeying laws of our land.

These are just few of responsibilities I have to share with you because as long as we live, we all know it’s never-ending task to do.

I say to you that we shouldn’t only focus on responsibilities that can only benefit us ,but be sensitive and aware enough what good it may bring to others.  We must not only cater our needs or our family’s needs, but also we need to be sure that we look forward on  rendering services to others. surely, possibilities come like putting ourselves in line for greatness, great wealth, great return, satisfaction, reputation and happiness as well.

Make use of the time!!!

ImageImage

We can’t deny the fact that once the time lost, it can’t be regained. We tend to look back and grieve over the past, yet we can’t help it for things have been gone and already  done. Why such waste  time thinking about things that isn’t supposed to be happened, yet it did? And be troubled for the future as if there’s no time left for tomorrow?

Well, instead of wasting your time regretting of something, you need to dig yourself up, i mean, make a move! There are things that we didn’t even achieved, yet it can be superseded. it can be through achieving improvised things in life.

I  sometimes distress over the past. Saying to myself, ” it shouldn’t happened that way!, stupid me!” , “I didn’t expect it would happened,or ” why the heck did I do that?!  (knocking on my head).” Yet, despite those things, I set my mind to be optimistic and keep saying ” these is not the end yet, I should be always on the go!. Being sad over the pasts can do nothing and make things better.”

Well, it’s all about how each of us manage our time, organize and set things beforehand.  It requires identifying each obligations, carefully considering what are important things too be done, and of course, making choices about how to use the time.
