What The World Needs Now is Us!
Have you taken some time lately to look at the world and ponder on its current state? Don’t you think the world needs you, me, and us more than ever?
The world now is burdened with so many problems. With modernization come pollution, ecological imbalance, and the destruction of the ozone layer to name a few. We are supposed to be the protector of the world and yet we are responsible for its pain and suffering.
I am but one of the several billions of the worlds population. Yet I know that without us, the world would not be as it is today. I know that somehow I would make a lot of difference. No matter how diverse our nationality, cultures, and way of lives are, each of us is instrumental in making the world function as it is functioning now.
It can’t be denied that we students hold a lot of promises for our country in particular and the world in general. It won’t be long when we shall be taking the reins in running this world from our parents and predecessors. We only have to play the roles that have been assigned to us.
For now, I am a student, and as such, I try my best to be a good student. I follow school rules and regulations and the norms of conduct expected of students. I try my best to make good in my studies because I know this will prepare me for greater challenge that I shall meet when I take plunge into the real mainstream of life.
We have heard of the many problems of the world. Even our country is beset with problems. Our current leaders have their hands full trying to run this country. And it won’t t be long before we shall be taking the driver’s seat. Who knows? Maybe when time comes, we shall have the solutions to these problems. Just as what our national hero has said, “We are the future hope of our country.”
The world needs me; it needs us. I will not fail; we won’t.
